Immediate opening for an Experienced Medical Office Professional interested in Content Development

PMI is reaching out to local certified professionals such as yourself that may have an interest in developing curriculum and updating existing instructional materials. A faculty position may be considered for candidates with exceptional presentation skills and prior teaching experience. Our main San Antonio-based office is presently experiencing widespread growth and demand for training. We are seeking experienced medical office professionals interested in pursuing a career in continuing education for medical office professionals. This position requires recent hands-on experience in medical coding/billing and/or practice management, an awareness of contemporary compliance concerns, and basic word processing skills. Ideal candidates will hold credentials and advanced training in coding and billing and have a keen interest in research and development of curriculum. Other candidates with extensive experience in the day-to-day operations in the medical practice setting and strong presentation skills will be considered.


Desired skill set:
  • Diagnostic (ICD-10-CM) and procedural coding proficiency

  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance guidelines for medical practices

  • Practice management experience

  • Excellent written communication and team collaboration skills

  • Ability to draft articles and provide course manual content updates, and respond accurately to student questions.

Additional skills:
  • Ideal candidate will have one or more of the following certifications certification(s): CMC, CMIS, CMOM, CMCO

  • A bachelor's degree and/or other formal certifications are desired

  • Preference given to individuals with excellent public speaking skills, a polished presentation style, and willingness to travel
 

 

Trainer/Consultant - Medical Office Administration

Leading national provider of continuing education for medical office professionals, based in San Antonio, seeks an experienced medical office professional to assume a Faculty position. Teach topics related to medical office coding, billing, compliance and office management to medical office professionals. Candidate must hold credentials and advanced training in coding, billing, and office management and have experience managing the day-to-day operations in the medical practice setting, good writing skills and polished presentation style. Position requires extensive travel and irregular work hours.

Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance guidelines

  • Excellent public speaking skills and a passion for teaching
  • Drafting articles and providing course manual content updates as assigned

  • Ability to train in a live classroom environment and via webinars

  • Must be willing to travel 3-4 days per week approximately 3 weeks per month; relocation not required.

Additional skills:
  • Ideal candidate will have one or more of the following certifications certification(s): CMC, CMIS, CMOM, CMCO

Accountant

National educational company with corporate offices in San Antonio is seeking an Accountant to report to CFO and manage financial and accounting functions for the company.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Daily support to the CFO for various analysis and financial reporting needs

  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports & schedules analyzing the financial activities

  • Handle bank reconciliations and account analysis on a monthly basis

  • Accounts Receivable - customer maintenance, payment processing, bank deposits, aging report.

  • Accounts Payable - vendor maintenance, review and approve on a timely basis, credit card authorizations and monitoring

  • Preparation of month-end journal entries to ensure the accuracy of the accruals, expenses and income recognition

  • Ensure adherence to all required reporting and deadlines

  • Issue timely and complete financial statements on a monthly basis and/or ad hoc reports

  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts

  • Implement strategic financial plans. Develop financial plans and tax and budget strategies

  • Manage and maintain a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and best practices

Primary Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 1-3 years of General Accounting experience is preferred. Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in Excel.

Ideal candidate will be positive, self-motivated, a team player and commitment to ownership of work and professional accountability. Ability to work independently, with little supervision and able to efficiently manage multiple projects/priorities and meet deadlines.
