Michelle Mauldin has spent her entire professional life in the healthcare industry and has worked for longtime PMI partner Hendrick Health for 15 years. Initially, as the Employee Development Manager, Michelle was responsible for enhancing the skills of the employees within the health system by analyzing the training needs of the clinics, modifying existing training programs, and creating new ones.
Currently serving as the Quality Manager, Michelle is responsible for the success of two teams. The first focuses on insurance. Insurance changes, updates, errors, training for all clerical staff, correcting claims, and trying to prevent future denials. Her second team is the quality team. Under her guidance, the team works with payors to ensure patients are seen in a specific time frame after hospital discharge, helps providers meet their quality goals, trains clinical staff so they understand the quality goals, and works with payors analyzing data so the team understands where their focus needs to be.
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and obtained her Certified Medical Insurance Specialist (CMIS) certification from PMI in 2023. She is also a Certified Medical Office Manager (CMOM). Understanding the important role that education plays in healthcare and in the success of those working in the industry, Michelle is a consistent champion for the success of her team, and she appreciates being able to use her substantial knowledge.
