Alecia D. Kellett, health care instructor at Greenville Technical College, has more than 14 years of experience in the health care field.
Alecia began her journey as a medical coder, quickly moving up to the position of billing manager where she processed reimbursement and claims for over 250 specialized physicians in 17 different states.
During this time she started her career as an instructor, charged with training physicians, interns and residents in coding and E/M, orthopedics and OB/GYN through live workshops and webinars. She also implemented billing systems and trained a complete billing team from charge entry to coding/auditing.
Alecia is passionate about teaching, and as a Greenville Technical College Instructor, she is looking forward to transferring her experience with patients, insurance companies and Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement on to the students.
She holds an associate degree from Greenville Technical College and a bachelor degree from Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C.
