Christine has more than 14 years of experience in the medical field. She has extensive knowledge of coding and billing. In her current role, she is a surgical coder for one of the largest Neurosurgery groups in the Northeast.
Christine began her career with a group of nursing homes, as a biller and no concept of anything medical billing related, teaching herself what she needed to know, allowing her to quickly grow into a lead medical biller. After 12 years of medical billing, and a desire to gain more knowledge, Christine became a Certified Medical Coder in October of 2016, which allowed her to move directly into an open coding position at her current employer.
She loves the medical field and enjoys opportunities to continue learning and share her knowledge with others. She presently holds one certification and is working towards her Associates in Health Information Management, and is looking into the CMOM and the new CMCA-E/M PMI certifications.
