With over 10 years as a Law Enforcement Officer, Ed is a nationally decorated police officer with first-hand experience in more than 10 active shootings. While working for NYPD, he led a plainclothes operations unit involving seizure of illegal firearms, narcotics and intervention in other illicit activity in Harlem.
In August 2016, Ed received the national award, Officer of the Month, by the National Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Fund in recognition of his service in the line of duty on March 1, 2016, where a fellow officer was ambushed and killed. He is also a recipient of the Medal of Honor award from Euless Police Department. As a father of two, Ed is committed to making our community safer.
