The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will release its Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) final rule for 2025 later this year. About the Presenter
Taya Gordon and Jan Hailey
Shawntea Gordon, EMBA, CMPE, CMOM
Taya is a subject matter expert in healthcare compliance, organizational governance, process optimization, and revenue cycle management; a Business Analyst and Revenue Cycle SME, H4 Technology, LLC, and Owner, ITS Healthcare, LLC. She has held senior-level executive management positions in private practices, collaborative institutes, and national care coordination organizations, and now educates and consults on all areas of healthcare operations.
Teaching and consulting topics including performance improvement, quality improvement, risk reduction, and the shift to value-based payment methodologies. Taya also functions as Business Analyst and Rev Cycle SME for H4 Technology, LLC, a Data Management Software as a Service (DMSaaS) organization providing services to hundreds of providers across the nation. A proud member of the MGMA's Government Affairs Council and E/M Workgroup, Taya recently co-authored the new publication Revenue Cycle Management: Don't Get Lost in the Financial Maze.
Taya received her Executive MBA in Healthcare Management at Creighton University where she graduated Suma Cum Laude. Taya is the current President of the HIMSS Nebraska Chapter, former Chair of the Membership and Corporate Development Maryland MGMA Chapter, and was recognized in 2019 by Midland's Business Journal as a ‘40 Under 40’ Executives & Entrepreneurs Award Recipient.

Jan Hailey has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. She is proficient in administration, coding, and billing roles, and teaches medical office professionals around the country how to excel in their careers. Jan has also been instrumental in the development of PMI's Workforce Initiatives program.
Jan's affinity for teaching has helped countless healthcare providers and medical office professionals over the years. During her expansive career, she has served as Director of Quality for Saint Joseph Physician Network located in Mishawaka, IN, and Director of Care Management with Select Health Network, an entity of Saint Joseph Health System. As Care Management Director, Jan led the physician network and comprehensive interdisciplinary team across the health system working closely with providers, management, staff, community, and payers to develop strategies for process improvement, gap closures, and patient experience. She developed a documentation improvement program and a Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding education program to predict future healthcare utilization by accurately reporting patient complexity.
Prior to joining Saint Joseph, Jan was the Director of Quality, Coding, and Compliance for one of the largest health systems in Northern Indiana. She has a Master of Health Leadership and four professional certifications in office management, coding, insurance processing, and compliance. She is a member of WPS Government Health Administrators (Medicare) Provider Outreach and Advisory Group.
