Coding by Specialty - OB/GYN
Coding for obstetrics and gynecology providers involves many complex clinical issues. This hands-on medical coding workshop will help improve OB/GYN outpatient coding accuracy and provide tips for proper billing. Address common coding questions that impact the OB/GYN provider’s bottom line.
Participants will learn from an expert coding instructor who will go through proper specialty-specific terms, guidelines, documentation standards, and key coding concepts that help ensure your providers are reimbursed appropriately. Learn how to decrease denials with instructions on the proper use of E/M codes, modifiers, and the CMS/AMA documentation guidelines. The instructor will go through complications of pregnancy, childbirth, puerperium, finding the right fifth digit, and much more.
Address questions such as whether you can bill a well-woman and problem-oriented service on the same day, or when and how to bill outside the global package. Digital course materials will be emailed to participants in advance.*
